McFly are all ‘under the thumb’

With Dougie Poynter telling Attitude Magazine that they were all ‘under the thumb’, the band spoke about juggling girlfriends with being on the road in a band.
‘Well me and Harry have been with our girlfriends for a long time. Danny’s girlfriend’s a model and she’s in the industry, so she’s used to it as well.’ Tom Fletcher explained.
‘Obviously, Dougie’s girlfriend is Frankie [Sandford, of The Saturdays], so she’s used to it. Frankie’s been the one with the manic schedule up until now, so now it’s Dougie’s turn. Typical!’ he added.

Elton John’s candle room
Sir Elton John has a room to store his candles in and has so many vases, they cover almost every available surface in his home.
The ‘Candle in the Wind’ singer – who lives in a lavish mansion in the US with his husband David Furnish – adores the mood lightings so much, he has an entire cupboard filled with them for him to use whenever he wants.
McFly singer Danny Jones, who recently visited the music legend’s house with his bandmates, revealed: “My favourite part was his candle room – it was like a big cupboard thing – and he had candles in every room, and it smelled amazing. So clean!”

McFly’s Danny Jones would rather have the crowd singing
Danny Jones had a chat with Gordon Smart about vuvuzelas, lizzards and posh cars.
On the topic of what Danny, as a musician, thought of Vuvuzela’s he commented he finds it quite bizzare, and how he keeps thinking “he’s getting attacked by a lot of bees”.
Danny says, “It is quite bizarre, you know, then the whistle blows, and you can’t hear anyone cheering. I want everyone singing to be honest. I mean, the atmosphere sounds great, but, I don’t know, it’s a bit too much.”
When asked if Danny gets any vuvuzela’s at McFly gigs, Danny laughed and said, “No, we just get whistles.” And a load of underpants thrown at you, added Gordon. (more…)
